One of the first of our range of exciting New Zealand-bred hybrids to be released, 'First Dance' has certainly impressed us, not least by extending the season significantly. The lavender-mauve blooms appear exceptionally early, blooming even before the tree peonies here, and more than three weeks earlier than ‘Red Charm’. The sweetly fragrant flowers can be over 20cm wide, and are both a rare and unusual colour, exhibiting excellent weather tolerance and providing a remarkable spring display. All this on a low, compact bush ideal for borders, smaller gardens, and blooming brilliantly in large containers. Very Early. 50cm.
