Itoh ‘Garden Treasure’

The first Itoh I ever grew, 'Garden Treasure' astonished me with its tremendous garden performance. The flowers have the depth of colour and the size of a tree peony yet the plants themselves are only just over knee height. Vigorous, weather-tolerant and sweetly fragrant, they adapt to large containers, are quick to establish in the garden, and will often spot flower through the summer. A brilliant subject for the front of borders or for narrow spaces. Awarded the American Peony Society’s Gold Medal in 1996, and the Award of Landscape Merit in 2009. Mid-late season. 40cm.
