Itoh ‘Garden Treasure’

The first Itoh I ever grew, 'Garden Treasure' astonished me with its tremendous garden performance. The flowers have the depth of colour and the size of a tree peony yet the plants themselves are only just over knee height. Vigorous, weather-tolerant and sweetly fragrant, they adapt to large containers, are quick to establish in the garden, and will often spot flower through the summer.

Awarded the American Peony Society’s Gold Medal in 1996, and the Award of Landscape Merit in 2009. Mid-late season. 40cm.
