'Sweet Sensation' is a jaw-droppingly beautiful peony and it is no exaggeration to say that everything about her is outstanding. Creamy pink buds emerge as silky china-pink, fully double blooms with a hint of apricot, and a touch of yellow at the base of the petals which gives the flowers a lovely warm glow. As they age, the blooms fade to cream, with all shades appearing on the plant at once, creating a delightful display. To add to the appeal, the flowers are the most fragrant peony I have known; sweetly and powerfully rose scented. Neat, compact, dense foliage adds to the appeal. Mid season. 60cm.
